My buddy, Mike, has been storing this box for a friend of his, Freddy, for gotta be close to 10 years. Freddy picked it up when he wanted to be a mechanic. He was changing oil at a dealership for a while when the thrill left him and he embarked on somehing else. Freddy had no where to store his box so Mike offered to hold on to it. Freddy wanted nothing more to do with it. He told Mike he could do whatever he wanted with it. So Mike has been on me for years to take this box. I hesitated as I would have to do some reconfiguration to my garage like completely removing my work bench and come up with new storage solutions and I wasn't really up for it. The more I thought about it the more I realized it was a good idea. So, on Saturday, Mike brought this beast over. It's a Craftsman box, 56" wide, 30" deep and 46" tall. It swallowed up everything that was in my other 2 boxes. It's been a ton of work to get things put away, I've been taking the opportunity to do some serious purging. I can't believe how much crap I accumulate! There's a ton more work to do but it will be worth it. I decided to pay it forward and give my old Craftsman box set up to my neighbor. He really needed a better set up than what he had going on.
Here's what my garage looked like before I started then with the bench cleard out, then removed, then with the new beast in place. Finally, the box I gave to my neighbor.

Wow, what a project! Looks like it was a hard workin' weekend in the garage!
The re-org looks great. It's cool that you ended up with a new box and much more space, and very cool you elected to pass your old box to the neighbor. With all the good karma, this means your next GTO projects will be trouble-free!
I know what you mean about accumulating stuff... sometimes I wonder what I was thinking when I stashed something on the shelf.
I bet the new environment is also more inspiring than it was with the clutter. Great job!

Thanks! Like I said, there's a lot more to do and this is a great start. I gotta say, it's nice to be able to walk around the goat without having to side step and shimmy around stuff because at this age, I don't do it that well!!

You got that right. And it always seems the more space you have, the more stuff you cram into it!

I managed to get things cleared out enough so Jennie can put her car in the garage. With the goat out and the other side cleared out, it looks like huge in there! I even managed to do an over due oil change air filter change and tire rotation on hers and my car, tonight Kinda neat to be able to get work done and be organized while doing it.

Now you're just making me look bad... I've got TONS of maintenance projects to do, a garage I CAN work in, plus a SHOP... and still can't seem to get things done! Nice work!
