taylors created the topic: OPGI 1970 CHEVELLE SS DAILY DRIVER RESTORATION

Original Parts Group, Inc. (OPGI), has teamed up with HOT ROD Garage to build OPGI's daily driven 1970 Chevelle Malibu into fully restored status featuring great classic looks infused with a bit of modern technology to deliver better braking, better handling, more convenience and of course, more power. In addition to the performance mods, the stock '70 Malibu will also be cosmetically reworked into full Chevelle SS tribute car appearance.

Along with a new suspension, new brakes and a host of related components from OPGI, the standard 350 small block will be replaced with a GM Crate HT 502 cubic-inch Chevy engine. The big block will be topped with an MSD Atomic electronic fuel injection system and backed by a Gearstar GM 4L80-E Performance Transmission.

Details of the parts and procedures used to build the 1970 Chevelle are presented in the videos below. Click on the videos to follow the project's progress and check back often to see more new videos as they are added to this series. This is one Chevelle restoration project that you don't want to miss!
