Mustang Suspension drag racing

 

This 1993 Mustang FOX chassis started life as a 5.0 ragtop, a respectable street cruiser at the time, but the owner wanted to take things up a notch or two. So now, its hiding a 1000 horsepower supercharged monster under the hood.

 
The problem is that when you light this thing off and mash the throttle, you get loads of tire smoke rather than the speed rush you wanted. The fix is going to be increasing traction, and were starting with the rear suspension and some new parts from TRZ Motorsports as seen in this video.  

 

Brakes
Scarebird Disc Brakes on 1962 Buick Electra

Disc brakes were not available back in 1962, so we’re retrofitting these onto the Buick with the help of some brackets from Scarebird Mechanical, and the remaining parts from RockAuto.com. Scarebird makes rake brackets to converts lots of ‘60s cars to disc brakes using factory components, and RockAuto is a great online parts resource.   Click Read More for details and the video!

The 2015 Car Craft Summer Nationals event is right around the corner, and we'll be there with the  V8 Speed & Resto Shop built 1969 Camaro "ZR9!"   Our crew will be there participating in the Pro Builders Shootout, but there will be thousands of awesome cars to check out.    See you in Milwaukee!

REV'N TVChattanooga, Tenn. (June 25, 2015) – Luken Communications, LLC is excited to announce an affiliation agreement between Luken’s latest network offering, Rev’n, and KFLA – Los Angeles (DMA 2). KFLA, a long-time affiliate of Luken’s Retro TV, will launch Rev’n on July 1, 2015. Los Angeles area viewers will be able to find Rev’n over-the-air on channel 8.6, in addition to Retro TV on 8.3.     This means V8TV fans can now see the show on KFLA Monday nights at 9:00 PM, click here for additional airtimes!

The V8 Speed & Resto Shop and V8TV Crew will be on-hand at the 2015 Street Machine Nationals in DuQuoin, IL, June 26-28.     This is a very fun event, celebrating Pro Street heritage and horsepower all weekend long.    This year, the show expands its activites with an autocross in addition to the burnout contest and other special activities like the Legends Of Pro Street display.    Click the Read More link for the complete schedule of events at DuQuion 2015!
