This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle had undergone a complete restoration, but the customer was not happy with the way the car drove, so he sent it to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop for final details. The V8 Crew was tasked with fixing leaks, clutch issues, and other mechanical details, and the customer expanded the list to include a custom firewall, and eventually a high-powered Fast Times Motorworks big Chevy V8. It's a very cool car that will be great fun to drive!

1976 Chevrolet Corvette Upgrades at V8 Speed & Resto Shop

This 1976 Chevrolet Corvette came to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop seeking some modern upgrades for improved performance. It already had a Chevrolet Performance ZZ2 crate engine making 345 HP, but the V8 team added Holley fuel injection for increased reliability and performance. Then they swapped out the 4-speed manual transmission for a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed from Modern Driveline and a hydraulic clutch. These provide an overdrive gear for highway cruising, and a smooth, easy operation. Brakes are improved significantly with a Hydratech hydraulic brake booster. Vintage Air A/C was added to keep the occupants comfortable. The V8 Interior Shop went to work recovering the seats and installing new door panels to freshen the inside, and the black paint was treated to a polish job. It's a slick ride that far outperforms the original, and is great fun to drive!

1969 Chevrolet Camaro EFI Tuning at the V8 Speed and Resto Shop

This beautiful Hugger Orange 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS has some great updates under the hood, including a Holley Sniper fuel injection system, a serpentine front accessory drive system, and clean traditional finned Holley valve covers. It's powered by a 400 small block tied to a 4-speed manual transmission. However, the customer wanted to make sure the car was performing to its highest potential, so it came to the V8 Speed and Resto Shop for some EFI drivability tuning and a quick once-over.

1969 Chevrolet Camaro EFI and Suspension Upgrades at the V8 Speed and Resto Shop

Some restored cars look completed, but still require extensive refinement and tuning to be road-ready. In this case, our customer had this sweet 1969 Camaro restored, but there are always areas to improve the performance and reliability of car like this. The V8 Speed & Resto Shop team will be installing a Holley Sniper EFI system on the 396, and will also be adding a Detroit Speed suspension upgrade along with fixing a few other items. It's a beautiful Camaro, and we're happy for the opportunity to work on it for our customer.

1970 Pontiac Trans Am Pro-Touring Project at V8 Speed & Resto Shop

This super cool 1970 Pontiac Trans Am came to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop already fitted with a built Ram Air III, Sniper EFI, Roller Cam, performance suspension, and a great look. The owner wants the V8 crew to finish the car's assembly, tune it up, and deliver it home as fully tuned and dialed-in, ready to tear up the highways. Follow along as we complete this build and work out the bugs!

1971 Buick GS 455 Stage 1 Maintenance At V8 Speed and Resto Shop

We had a good friend and customer call us looking for a Buick GS to purchase. After several months of searching, we found this slick red 1971 Buick GS 455 for sale, inspected it, and ended up purchasing it for the customer. It is an original GS car, with a non-original 455, but the engine has been rebuilt with a performance cam, lifters, intake, and it runs very strong. The car is painted a non-original color, (was green), but it looks very presentable and has a very clean parchment white interior. The car drives fantastically and will be a pleasure to own. This is a gallery of the car for your viewing pleasure.

1984 Ford Mustang GT302H Predator Maintenance at the V8 Speed & Resto Shop

This is a car that many have never heard of... a 1984 Ford Mustang Predator GT302H. These were built by Solomon America and sold through select Ford dealerships. The Predator started as a Mustang GT and added uinque striping, a 4-point roll cage, 8-spoke wheels, a hood scoop, a front strut brace similar to a "Monte Carlo bar", custom valve covers... and this one is wearing a black and gold "Hertz" color scheme. Only around 130 were built in 1984, and this one came to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop for a few upgrades and to return to the road as our customer's son's first car. Too cool!
